In 2018, I took a leap of faith and decided to launch 'Dine On A Mat' with the sole purpose of bringing people from different backgrounds together and educating them about our amazing culture."Ģ️⃣ What is it about food that connects them to other cultures, histories & perspectives? I grew up watching them bring people together through food. I remember spending much of my childhood in the kitchen helping my mother and grandmother prepare traditional Fulani meals. It is one of the largest nomadic groups in Africa. "I was born in Sierra Leone, West Africa, and my family is from the Fulani tribe.
